Inspiration

I am so inspired by Jelena Abbou, she has an amazing physique! Plus, I just discovered that her maiden name, Djordjevic, is the same as mine. Weird! Not many of us out there with that name.

Mexican Chicken Lasagna

I love trying new recipes from Oxygen and surprisingly they are really tasty, even though they are healthy. Tonight I made this Mexican Chicken Lasagna from the November 2009 issue. It was so good, really easy, and really healthy. Here are some photos of mine!



I served mine with some avocado.



I would also just like to add that I live with a chef and it got his approval,(I waited till afterwards to tell him it was healthy) Here is a close up of the recipe. Click on the image to make it larger.



The recipe calls for taco seasoning, which I used this time, however I think next time I will just add my own seasoning instead and make it spicy. I'm also going to add cilantro, for one because it's fancier looking and two because everything is good with cilantro. Since I like spicy, I might also add some fresh jalapeno next time. This recipe isn't on the magazine website, but there are a lot of other recipes to try. Click here to check them out! The best part about this recipe, in my opinion is that is has 60g of protein in one serving. I try to get at least 125 to 130 g of protein a day. It's really low in fat as well with only 13g and has 55 g of carbohydrates. Today was  the kind of day that I really needed those carbs, after and hour and a half mixed martial arts training. It was my first time and it's quite a workout. The big question is how am I going to feel tomorrow?

This site is amazing

So...I know everyone doesn't have goals of competing in a fitness show like me, but this site is so good. I've been working on my diet to get lean muscle and it's a lot of work. I'm trying to keep my protein high, fat low, and maintain a certain amount of calories a day while cycling my carbs. Too much math! Then I found this site and it's free. It tracks your diet and workouts. It's a social networking site for fitness, how genius? Anyways, all you have to do is tell it what your goals are and then you can make your own diets or let it help you and choose for you. When your finished you can even print a grocery list. I am obsessed and it's so easy. Just go to fitclick and try it!

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

During the holidays we all like to find a little glitz and glam for that special party outfit. It makes us feel fabulous! But here are some unnecessary, but completely fabulous diamond encrusted items to dream about.
First, Kylie in her first single since recovering from breast cancer. How amazing is this microphone?


And, is this microphone inspired by the work of artist Damien Hirst, who showcased a diamond encrusted skull at the White Cube gallery in London back in 2007? The skull was molded from a human skull from the 18th century and made of platinum, with 8,601 diamonds and still had the original teeth! The price: $100 million dollars.

Did anyone see Katy Perry's nails at the EMA's?

I've done some research and found that you can buy a fake glue on version on Ebay.
Now here's something I'm not sure anyone needs... a toilet covered in 50,000 Swarovski crystals for $75,000. I wonder how long it would take me to bedazzle the toilet in m apartment?



And this...if anyone doesn't know what to get me for Christmas, don't forget about the diamond encrusted Mercedes made in Dubai. It's tacky and fabulous all at the same time!!!


Dear Santa,
Please bring me something encrusted with diamonds. I have been really good!

I'm In Love!!!

I'm truly convinced that the next best thing to shoes may be patterned leg wear. My love started with The House of Holland Tights.Then Chanel comes along with temporary tattoos on the legs!

So now, I've just stumbled across the most amazing line of leg wear. The brand is called Wolford and I have to say, I want everything! I'm honestly impressed by how they've managed to layer all of the trends in the leg wear trend itself. They have everything from dots, to lace up, zippers, studs, fringe, lace, and Trompe L'oeil. I could buy every pair!
